Improving the mechanical properties of laminated glass

The Plasionglas project aimed to develop plasma technology to streamline the production process and improve the mechanical properties of quality safety glass laminated with SentryGlas ionoplastic film for use in the construction industry. Our colleagues worked on this project from 4/2021 to 12/2022 within the TREND program.

Exhibition of SEM images

We would like to invite you to the exhibition of the CEPLANT centre dealing with scanning electron microscope (SEM) research. Members of our group also participated in the preparation. Come and have a look at exciting SEM photos divided thematically into 14 panels. The exhibition takes place until the end of April 2023 in the Stairway gallery of building 1 (Dean's office SCI MUNI) on Kotlářská 2.

Successful applicant of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships grant (Horizon Europe)

Dr. Oleksandr Galmiz succeeded in the call for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships with the project "A step towards new Plasma processing Technology for Medical purposes". He will work on this project for the next two years at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Congratulations!

Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic 2022

Our colleague František Zelenák made it to the finals of the international competition for young scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs Falling Walls Lab Czech Republic 2022 with the contribution "Breaking the Wall of Graphene industrial scale production". The final will take place on September 13, 2022 at the National Technical Library in Prague. Keep your fingers crossed for him!

Improvement in properties of filters with nanofibers using a plasma

Scientists from our research group successfully improved the properties of filters with nanofibers. They ended joint research within the scope of the ELIIT project with an industrial partner - private company NAFIGATE Corporation.

International trade fair Techtextil

Our colleagues will take part in the Techtextil trade fair in Frankfurt am Main from 21 to 22 June 2022. Assoc. Prof. Kováčik and Dr. Galmiz will present the results of the PLASMA NANOTEX project at the ELIIT stand, which was solved together with the Nafigate company. The project concerned in-line plasma treatment of nanofiber products with emphasis on their filtration capabilities. Techtextil is a leading international trade fair focusing on technical textiles and nonwovens.

Workshop on GRAPHENE

Our colleague, dr. Richard Krumpolec, will give a lecture at the workshop Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Synthesis of Graphene and its Derivates and their Applications organized on June 14, 2022 by the CEPLANT center in classroom F1. Not only the results of research at DPE will be presented on the workshop, but also you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of colleagues from the University of Córdoba under the leadership of prof. Calzado from Plasma Innovation Laboratory.
