Workshop in Broumov, October 11-14, 2021

The workshop in Broumov was a success, 20 lectures with various topics were given and there was still some free time left to get to know the Broumov region. New PhD students had the opportunity to meet with other participants and during the lectures to gain knowledge that they will use in further research. We are glad that due to the situation the workshop could take place with in-person participation. An electronic version of the Book of abstracts is available on the Munispace portal.

Visit from the Nanize company

At the beginning of October, Dr. Kingsley Iwu from Nanize (Narvik, Norway) visited our laboratory. We have been cooperating with the Nanize company since 2020 within the contract research, which concerns the preparation of durable anti-fouling and anti-soiling surfaces. The aim of this research is to develop layers that can be used, for example, as anti-graffiti coatings.

The workshop program is announced

You can look forward to more than 20 lectures from four different thematic sections: 1) Surface Modification, 2) Bioapplications, 3) Flexible and Printed Electronics, and 4) New Materials & New Challenges. There will also be space for informal discussions and active use of free time. We look forward to seeing you.

DCSBD plasma has found application in the production of solar cells

The plasma technology developed by us has found application use in the industrial line for the production of perovskite-based solar cells at Saule Technologies (Wroclaw, Poland). The plasma generated by several DCSBD plasma units is used here to clean the substrate (ITO glass).

The spin-off platform of Masaryk University

We participated in the ceremonial opening of the spin-off platform of Masaryk University (MU), which took place in the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science. The speakers introduced the most important spin-off companies of MU and shared their experiences from their establishment and operation. The aim of the platform is to support the transfer of technology and knowledge as well as to create a suitable environment for seizing opportunities.

Workshop Broumov 2021

We plan to organize a workshop of our research group and the Ceplant centre in the period of 11st - 14th October 2021. We would like to follow up on the 1st year, which took place two years ago. A wide range of topics from the field of applications of plasma physics and basic research will be presented.

Our research was awarded by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic

The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic rated the research dealing with the development of thin flexible ceramic substrates with optimized electrical properties for plasma sources as excellent. Members of our research group led by a professor Černák also took part in it.
