Join Us at the PNB Workshop

We extend a warm invitation to you to participate in the upcoming 4th Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications (PNB) workshop scheduled to

October 20 - 23, 2025 in OREA Resort Panorama Moravský kras in Češkovice

The resort is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Moravian Karst, a unique corner of nature where deep forests blend with a mysterious underground world. Dozens of fascinating caves and abysses, led by the legendary Macocha Gorge, reveal the beauty of karst formations that have been forming for millions of years. The entire area radiates a magical atmosphere that inspires both respect and awe at the power of nature.

Since its inception in Telč in 2019, the PNB Workshop has become a biennial tradition that brings together researchers and PhD students from the PNB research group at the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno. It also connects experts from the Ceplant research center, colleagues from Comenius University in Bratislava, and our scientific and project partners from various European countries, giving the workshop an international dimension. We warmly invite you to join this inspiring event, where we will explore the fascinating world of plasma technologies and their diverse applications.

During the workshop we are planning short presentations, about 10-20 min, which will briefly introduce us to the research area of all participants and lead to the establishment of joint collaborations mainly with our international guests. The extended abstracts will be published in the proceedings with assigned ISBN. If you plan to attend without a presentation, please inform us.

We are very pleased that a large number of our research partners and scientific friends have expressed their interest in participating in the PNB workshop. We will provide you with all presentation facilities, and you are invited to a welcome evening and social reception during the workshop. By prior arrangement, accommodation and meals are paid by the participants. More cost-effective double rooms are also available. We will take care of the room reservation, any transportation will be arranged individually. Please inform us in case of dietary restrictions or diets.

No description

The 3rd Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications Workshop was held on 9-12 October 2023 in Hustopeče, Czech Republic. The participants of the workshop were traditionally scientists and PhD students from the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications research group at the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology (most of them are also members of the CEPLANT Centre research team) of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno and the Department of Experimental Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava. However, this year was also exceptional with the participation of our foreign partners and collaborators from Germany (HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen and the University of Stuttgart), Slovenia (University in Ljubljana), and Austria (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna).
