MUNI Innovation Award 2021
Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Homola obtained the MUNI Innovation Award for the application of plasma treatments of nanostructured surfaces in the field of flexible and printed electronics and the use of plasma for the production of large printed solar cells, which resulted in the development of plasma technology and its successful implementation in the production line for flexible perovskite solar cells in a foreign company Saule Technologies. Congratulations!
This is an award for students or employees of the Masaryk University, whose outputs have been successfully implemented, helped to improve products or services or in any other way contributed to increasing the social relevance of Masaryk University research. This year's prize is exceptionally awarded for the previous six years, in the future it will be awarded once every two years. A weeklong testing of plasma treatment in company Nano Medical
Researchers from the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplicatons research group, Dr. Jakub Kelar and Dr. Oleksandr Galmiz, spent an experimental week at Nano Medical in Liberec. As part of the new OP TAK project, they focused on testing in-line plasma surface modification of substrate materials to enhance the adhesion of nanofibers produced by electrospinning.
