Start Your Business
Does lean canvas, market research or cash flow tell you anything? Students who want to move their idea closer to implementation and get money to develop their own business had to deal with these concepts. This is the Start Your Business competition organized by the MU Technology Transfer Center in cooperation with the South Moravian Innovation Center. František Zelenák, a doctoral student from our group, is also taking part. He managed to advance to the finals, keep your fingers crossed!
What preceded it? In the beginning, of course, there was an idea, the most important thing. To participate in the competition, it was necessary to prepare the above mentioned documents: basic info about the team, lean canvas, market research results and cash flow plan for 3 years. And then just stand in front of the jury and present your idea convincingly. You can find out more about the competition in the University Magazine M, look on page 19.
The aim of the competition is to support student business ideas, either financially or through counseling. 32 Czech and international teams from all over the Masaryk University entered this year's competition. A total of 10 teams managed to advance to the finals. During the finals, the jury will select one team that will be given the opportunity to take part in a foreign exchange stay and will distribute financial support to the teams for starting their own business.
Time schedule:
- team registration up to February 28 2022
- selection round of the competition - assessment of the ideas by an expert committee March 25 2022
- submission of prepared documents up to May 17 2022
- final round of the competition - the jury will select the ideas with the greatest business potential May 31 2022
