Experiments on composites materials at IFB Stuttgart

Dana Skácelová and Richard Krumpolec have been invited to joint experiments at the University of Stuttgart. The researchers worked on different ways and methods of preparing composite materials and improving their mechanical properties using plasma.

Our master's student Eliška Rapcová spent a month at the Institute of Aircraft Design in Stuttgart, Germany, where she intensively researched composite materials whose mechanical properties were improved by plasma treatment.

Richard Krumpolec established a new collaboration with Şişecam, one of the largest producer of flat glass in Europe. The scientists tested the potential of plasma surface treatment on bond strength behavior of an adhesively bonded glass-polymer interface directly at Şişecam Science, Technology, and Design Center.
