Business Research Forum 2023
The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Masaryk University organized the fifth Business Research Forum on April 26th, 2023. This event occurs only once in two years. It aims to connect the academic R&D environment with the application of know-how in the private sector. As in previous years, our researchers presented the research activities of the CEPLANT center.
Masaryk University is a modern institution capable of developing collaboration outside the academic sphere. In his speech, the rector of Masaryk Univerisity, Prof. Martin Bareš, said: "Masaryk University has a heart and a brain. It does not have any boundaries in this country or outside it." The MUNI has so far 22 spin-off companies, and currently, 13 are still active. They deal, for example, with manufacturing various measuring equipment, software, developing drugs or apps for language education.
Business Research Forum 2023 hosted a certification ceremony for MUNI spin-off companies and presented successful finalists of the Start Your Business program. The hosts also granted the MUNI Innovation Awards for new innovative ideas in research. In the previous Business Research Forum in 2021, our colleague Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Homola was rewarded (details here). More about this year's Business Research Forum can be found here (Czech only). We enclose the event catalog below. You can find the event's official photo gallery here.
Our colleagues Dr. Vlasta Štěpánová and Ph.D. students Július Vida and František Zelenák presented the CEPLANT research activities at an individual stand. František Zelenák had an oral presentation about his research within Start Your Business program called Thermo Graphene. ROPLASS s.r.o. as a Masaryk University spin-off company was also represented in this event.
