Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Dušan Kováčik, PhD., director of the large research infrastructure CEPLANT, participated in the meeting of the Czech Technology Platform for Textiles. The program also included the general assembly of the CLUTEX cluster, where he presented the research center’s results in the field of plasma treatment of textiles and their applications.
On June 5–6, 2025, a meeting of the Czech Technology Platform for Textiles (ČTPT) took place in Broumov. ČTPT is an association of industrial, research, and educational institutions aimed at promoting innovation and a long-term development strategy for the Czech textile industry. Members of ČTPT collaborate on projects, research activities, and the creation of strategic documents to strengthen the sector's competitiveness. Among the attendees was Assoc. Prof. Dušan Kováčik, director of the large research infrastructure CEPLANT, an active member of ČTPT focused, among other things, on plasma technology applications in the textile industry.
The program also included the general assembly of the CLUTEX cluster, the most significant Czech consortium focused on technical textiles, research coordination, and technology transfer into practice. Here, Assoc. Prof. Kováčik presented CEPLANT’s results related to plasma treatment of textiles and their applications.

Richard Krumpolec and Slavomír Sihelník recently represented our department and the CEPLANT center at Glass Performance Days (GPD) 2025 in Tampere, Finland – the leading global forum for innovation in the glass industry. Both presented on atmospheric plasma, a promising technology for glass surface modifications.
