After two years, our research group and CEPLANT centre organized the traditional PNB workshop, this time with international participation. The event took place on October 9-12, 2023 in Hustopeče and was attended by 30 participants. In addition to dozens of interesting lectures, there was also time for numerous discussions, exchange of contacts and a trip to nearby Mikulov.
The workshop took place in Rustikal Hotel in Hustopeče from Monday October 9th to Thursday October 12th, 2023. The now traditional research group's workshop is organized every two years since 2019. This year was exceptional thanks to rich international attendance. Not only members of the research group, but also international guests presented a total of 29 talks. The topic was contemporary trends in plasma nanotechnologies and recent activities in applications, including cooperations with research institutions and industrial partners. Foreign colleagues presented their institutions and research activities and Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplications group members presented several topics, specifically:
1) new developments and diagnostics of DBD,
2) plasma and glass processing,
3) plasma in contact with liquids,
4) plasma water purification,
5) plasma and bioapplications,
6) plasma reduced graphene oxide,
7) plasma surface processes.

Let's close with the success of this workshop through several newly discussed proposals for cooperation with international partners. Our plasma technologies are still proving themselves as innovative tools for new areas of research and technological improvement.
At the beginning of April, the Day with ERC, an event for junior researchers took place. The aim of the discussion meeting for junior scientists is networking. Dr. Jakub Kelar from the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology was nominated as a representative from the Faculty of Science.
Prof. Christoph Gerhard and his colleagues visited their project partners at the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology and the CEPLANT Centre in the second week of April 2024. Scientists from the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim/ Holzminden/ Göttingen and our research group are working together on the functionalization of fibers.
