The spin-off platform of Masaryk University
We participated in the ceremonial opening of the spin-off platform of Masaryk University (MU), which took place in the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science. The speakers introduced the most important spin-off companies of MU and shared their experiences from their establishment and operation. The aim of the platform is to support the transfer of technology and knowledge as well as to create a suitable environment for seizing opportunities.

Anna Podmanická, a gifted student from Gymnázium Jura Hronca, secured 4th place at the prestigious Regeneron ISEF 2025 finals in Ohio, USA. Her project on wastewater purification impressed the expert jury and earned her a special award from the King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. The success of the Slovak AMAVET delegation at this competition was further highlighted by Adam Kovalčík’s overall victory.

A weeklong testing of plasma treatment in company Nano Medical
Researchers from the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplicatons research group, Dr. Jakub Kelar and Dr. Oleksandr Galmiz, spent an experimental week at Nano Medical in Liberec. As part of the new OP TAK project, they focused on testing in-line plasma surface modification of substrate materials to enhance the adhesion of nanofibers produced by electrospinning.
