The Department of Physical Electronics changes its name
From September 1, 2023, the name of the Department of Physical Electronics of the Faculty of Science will change. The new name is the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology (abbreviation DPPT), which better describes the essence of our activity. You can read details about the process of the name change in an interview with the director of our department, prof. Vašina.
In addition to changing the name of the institute, our research group also has a new logo. Its author is our colleague Mgr. Slavomir Sihelnik. We were choosing from several proposals from different members of the group, the first vote was even, but in the next round of voting, where 2 proposals advanced, this proposal clearly won. This was followed by other small modifications of the logo and the creation of its black and white variants, including a whole range of sizes for different occasions.
