CPPA 2023 Young Researcher Oral Presentation Prize
Our PhD student Jianyu Feng won the Young Scientist Award last week for his oral presentation at the XX. International Conference on Plasma Physics and Applications (CPPA 2023) in Romania. The title of the lecture was Temperature-friendly remote atmospheric plasma source for plasma activation of materials (authors: J. Feng, R. Krumpolec, A. Jamaati Kenari, L. Zahedi, S. Sihelník, M. Stupavská, M. Černák, D. Kováčik ). Congratulations!

Anna Podmanická, a gifted student from Gymnázium Jura Hronca, secured 4th place at the prestigious Regeneron ISEF 2025 finals in Ohio, USA. Her project on wastewater purification impressed the expert jury and earned her a special award from the King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. A weeklong testing of plasma treatment in company Nano Medical
Researchers from the Plasma Nanotechnologies and Bioapplicatons research group, Dr. Jakub Kelar and Dr. Oleksandr Galmiz, spent an experimental week at Nano Medical in Liberec. As part of the new OP TAK project, they focused on testing in-line plasma surface modification of substrate materials to enhance the adhesion of nanofibers produced by electrospinning.
